A "Time" to Be Thankful

Maybe it's been a few months, maybe it's been a few years. Maybe it's all just started, or maybe you've been gone a while, or maybe you've never even though of going away at all. Maybe the week was bad, or maybe the week was good. But all of that is to the side for this one day, or at least it's to the side enough to get you into the room for the day.
There's cooking to do, and more food to eat than any rowdy bunch of children could plow through in one night. It looks like someone got in the decorating mood, and someone else found music, and there's never been a lack of drinks to be found in a pinch around The Waverider. Those might even be poppers someone left on the table. And there might even be the threat of movies while you wait, or later on into the night.
Saddle up, Arrowverse. It's time for a Legends Thanksgiving.
[ This is your free for all space, Legends players. Whatever time frames you want, whatever events, whatever threads, whatever character interactions. Toss your self about. All characters from all times, all versions of all characters, play by however many people want to be here, and any sort of magic or chaos you'd like to drag in. Everything is welcome here. This is my favorite dysfunctional-functional family, and every single one of them is welcome. Anyone and everyone from the show, at any point, anywhere. Threads do not have to match or mingle. It's all whatever will make your heart the happiest on this day. Wave your hands and make it work. If you need/to throw yourself at some planning or want to request certain characters, or plot or whatnot, there's a plurk over here, as well.
Come one, come all, for a Legends Thanksgiving this fall. ]
Sara Lance { Wall-Leaner Extraordinaire
A little of a place more than a decade and half old,
traditions that are gone, and people who are, too.
But just as much there's this curve to her mouth, watching the chaos of the room. The rise and the fall of all the voices, as they laugh and jostle each other and argue over food, and the fight each other over the details of stories they were all here and not here for. It's not that bad as replacements cobbled from nowhere, and never expected, go.
It's really not bad at all.

A Hawk Comes Home
Maybe that's why she came without her better half tonight...at least that is what she was telling herself.

One of the times Sara manages to extricate herself from the table, meaning to head a piece of one of those pies that she'd been eying earlier, she has to stop in passing. The smile is easier right now than it usually is, and by that more real, even if people can so much ses the difference always, and Sara gives into it.
"Not too shabby when we put our mind's to it, right?"

Which Snart Are You Again
He takes a sip from a bottle now and then as he works happy to enjoy his friends company.

Not even when the smile is quite, quite real, and she's feeling more relaxed than normal.
"So, tell me--" Is gameful, almost even errantly, mockingly, playful. Maybe she has had a few to get here. To be quite this recklessly brave without a pause before it. To even be just this close. "--do we have a speech to look forward to today all about our feelings and family and yadda, yadda, yadda?"

Of course if there's anything going on in the kitchen Mick is there.
He never owned up to roasting the bird or making half the feast on his own, but the crew knows well enough to enjoy and not call attention to a rare scratch-cooked meal.
Sooner or later Mick will head his way.
It's like any Snart has this kind of weird gravitational pull over him.
"So, other Ray making an honest man outta you?"

Re: I'm just here for the food
"You could just admit you like us, you know?" Ray said, from his place behind John.

(Maybe she just likes the excuse.
At least it wasn't his cigarette.)
"You--" Her voice drawls, with absolutely nothing like an apology or even remotely like ownership for starting there. "--could pretend it's not killing you to have to be social on a normal holiday."

Mick & Sara { Send me on my way still smiling
Sara leaves her boot where it has stopped, after kicking the arm. On the side of it. An inch, maybe an inch and half from the arm he has on that one. Looking none the slightest like she cares really about this whole thing she's goading him about. Especially, when she has the audacity to smile oh so prettily, like sunshine through stained glass, like butter wouldn't dare melt in her mouth, and she was the saint of knowing these things, and says, "Because it's polite?"

He doesn't take it off.
"Yeah, cause we're all so big on manners here."

Post-Slabside for Ollie
Oliver hasn't lost the shadows from Slabside, not yet. But his beard is trimmed up and he's got a glass similar to Sara's in his hand. Here on the ship he can breathe again, stop watching every shadow and remember what it is to be human.
There's a small smile on his face, one reserved only for Sara as he joins her. "Not a bad little get together."
no subject
"Don't let them fool you." Sara gestures with her glass, but there's something in her light, ocean eyes that absolutely admits her a liar even as she says it. "I still want to kill all of them at least twenty times a day."
Things to give thanks for one this day, the next:
That Oliver is out of prison. That Oliver is at her side.
That Oliver is recovering his own smile, again.
That she can give him this, too.

Kara Danvers { if every year, we could gather here
Kara Danver has a paper crown and a smile the rivals the sun. She can't help it, and can't help adoring, how much she's spent laughing. Okay, maybe Sara still unnerves her, as much as Mick Rory's calling her skirt, but she can't help that she just falls into step, rambling about the absolute perfection of Thanksgiving, of the importance of getting together, of giving thanks for all that's good in your life, with Ray, and that she's counting down the arrival of Barry and his people, too.
And, and, and the fact no one really balked, except Alex, about the fact she brought not one, not two, but three Chocolate Pecan Pies, which are just sitting there on that endless dessert table, tempting her with the promsie of the best course of this meal being the last one.

Of course by then he's got his own paper crown on.
"I'm so glad you guys made it!"

Caitlin Snow - And this is my family
She looked around and smiled softly, knowing she'd prefer the converted Lounge at STAR Labs than her mother's home where ten words may be spoken between the two women the entire night. At least here, it was warm and full of laughter.

Barry Allen - An Earth-2 Thanksgiving
Wooden spoon in hand, he peeked at the turkey through his oven door again before looking up at the wall clock.
Everyone should start arriving soon.

Even as Oliver Queen he was useless in the kitchen. So he sets the table as directed and sharpens the carving knives. Simple duties.

Oh Look Who Showed Up-Clark Kent
So here he was one of his mom's pumpkin pies in hand as he looked around and took in all the noise and fun.
Re: Oh Look Who Showed Up-Clark Kent
This is -- SO -- perfect.
Kara might never -- EVER -- stop smiling.
One Thanksgiving with her family, and their extended family of friends. Another here, and that she got to bring Alex and Jonn and even Clark agreed to come along, if Lois couldn't make it. "Oh. My. God."
There is a Kara Danvers at your elbow seconds later. Maybe a little faster than was humanly possible. Her eyes are bright and wise silver dollars as she manages to close her mouth, then open it, already reaching out a hand to help. "Are these Aunt Martha's pies? Tell me they are. The house must have smelled amazing."
Re: Oh Look Who Showed Up-Clark Kent
Nora Allen - You thought Henry did the cooking?
But as she set the timer for the turkey, she heard the doorbell ring. Confused, the redhead pulled off her mittens and made her way over to the front door. Barry had been playing at the Wests' and Henry had work until six.
Already, the house began to fill up with the smells of what was shaping up to be a lovely thanksgiving dinner for the small family and, while she did make enough to last them the week, she wondered if they would have any surprise guests.
When she pulled open the door, she was certainly surprised by who was standing there.

A Thankgiving Suprise-Detective Lance
So here he was bottle of wine in hand feeling the warmth of the ship and the people inside it.

"Dad!" It's not quite a yell, but it's loud enough to call attention to just what corner of the room Sara happened to be in at that point, when Sara is pushing out a small knit group of people working on something or other, and heading toward him in fast, direct steps. "I'm glad you made it."
Even if he looks a little out of place, a little uncertain about the whole room, Sara doesn't even try to deny. Something in her eases that never does. Makes it easier to smile, to breathe, to push up on her toes and give him a hug, with the kind of no thought to it that no one gets out of even considering touching Sara around her.

What is this-Rip Hunter
He glanced around then up at the roof of the ship "Alright," he told Gideon softly, "maybe I needed to see this after all."
Family is Family Right-Harry Wells
He came holding a cake and he looked for a place to set it down then he goes looking for his drink.
Oh look a hacktivist
She tried every breathing technique she could think of, but she probably still looked like she needed to relax. She had brought ice cream, well creams, because she just couldn't decide.
She was busying herself by arranging the containers and bowls.
